Composition: Points to Ponder

1.) This shows simplicity because all dead space is eliminated and it fills the frame.
2.) This shows side lighting.
3.) This shows the rule of thirds because its placed positioned at the right points.
4.) This avoids bulls eye. 


5.) This shows the foreground emphasized because i place the horizon in the upper ground.


6.) This photo emphasizes height and distance because I put the horizon in lower frame. 

7.) This shows leading lines because of the background has the fence with straight lines.
8.) This shows multiple items in one picture.

    Image 1- Label is correct. Image has excellent focus, color, and contrast! Don't be afraid to play with your angels more.

    Image 2- "Side Lighting" is not one of the composition points. Label in not correct. Image is dark. Add more white in Levels.

    Image 3- The label is correct. Good color. Crop is a little strange.

    Image 4-Label is correct. Good color. Play with angles more.

    Image 5- Label is correct. Good color.

    Image 6-Photo does not match label. There is no horizon line in this picture. Fix to raise grade.

    Image 7-Label is correct good color and contrast.

    Image 8-Label is correct. Good color and contrast. Good job being adventurous with angle.

    i like your angle in picture 6. It makes the picture look good. the lighting in picture 4 is kind of dark at the top

      There has to be something you can give her feedback on. What is good about her pictures? Any thing at all she can work on? Or can she go into this a profession now?

Artist Reflection: Depth Of Field

The best shot of this assignment is probably the water bottle one because it captured a cool angle and made a cool blur on the background. The weakest shot is the second one because it doesn't show as much creativity and the light shows in the back of it. The weakest shot can be improved in future shots by adding more detail to it. I used Photoshop and used exposure, contrast, and levels. I was able to meet the goals of this project by using the outside sun lighting to create good pictures. The hardest part was taking the pictures and finding a good angle and shot. If i could get this assignment again i would go to different locations to help get the blur effect. I would give myself a 5/10 because i think i can try harder.

Artist Discovery: Ansel Adams

He is a masters in Landscape photography. He brings out texture by making the photos black, gray and white. I think his work is nice and really well done but its a little boring because of the grays and blacks. The colors are so dark which makes it less interesting for me to look at.

Back Lighting Artist Reflection

The best shot of this assignment is probably the one when the sheet is being grabbed because it captured a cool angle and made a cool effect with the sheet. The weakest shot is the first one because it doesn't show as much blur and depth. The weakest shot can be improved in future shots by adding more depth in the photo. I used Photoshop and used exposure, contrast, and levels. I was able to meet the goals of this project by using a sheet and a nice back light. The easy part was taking the actual pictures. The hardest part was editing the pictures and choosing from which ones to post. If i could get this assignment again i would get more things to put behind the sheet. I would give myself a 8/10 because i think i tried my hardest with taking pictures.
