Back Lighting Artist Reflection

The best shot of this assignment is probably the one when the sheet is being grabbed because it captured a cool angle and made a cool effect with the sheet. The weakest shot is the first one because it doesn't show as much blur and depth. The weakest shot can be improved in future shots by adding more depth in the photo. I used Photoshop and used exposure, contrast, and levels. I was able to meet the goals of this project by using a sheet and a nice back light. The easy part was taking the actual pictures. The hardest part was editing the pictures and choosing from which ones to post. If i could get this assignment again i would get more things to put behind the sheet. I would give myself a 8/10 because i think i tried my hardest with taking pictures.

Artist Reflection: texture

I think the best shot of this assignment is the one of the plants because the texture of it shows the best. You can tell its rigid and bumpy on its leaves. The weakest picture is probably the slushy one because it kind of shows texture but the picture is a rough quality. Better lighting can help my shot. I used Photoshop and used adjustments in lighting, levels and exposure. I was able to meet the goals of this project by taking a lot of pictures and having a lot of options to choose from. This assignment was easier because i knew exactly what to take pictures of and what type of textures to look for. The difficult part of this assignment was explaining each picture. I would choose another type of texture completely separate from the ones i took now. I would give myself a 9/10 because there is always room for improvement but overall i think i did a good job finding different textures.

This cup shows a smoother texture. The cup's polished, flat and shiny.   The slushy's texture is hard and course.   These flowers show a ridged texture. Some leaves look shiny at different parts where the light hits it.

Artist Discovery: Ansel Adams

He is a masters in Landscape photography. He brings out texture by making the photos black, gray and white. I think his work is nice and really well done but its a little boring because of the grays and blacks. The colors are so dark which makes it less interesting for me to look at.

1.) My best shot is the one with the rose in the lighting. I feel like it captured a good lighting through the clear glass vase. 2.)The weakest shot was the blue light against the white wall. I feel like everything was so dark and dint have any liveliness in it. 3.) My weakest shot can be improved by fixing the lighting situation and rearrange the position of it. 4.) On some i used snapshot and on others i used Photoshop. I used lighting and exposure in Photoshop and in snap seed i used different filters and depth. 5.) I was able to meet my goal by taking a lot of pictures and spending a lot of days on it. 6.) The easy part of the assignment was taking the actual pictures because it wasn't hard to take shots. 7.) The hardest part was editing the pictures because finding a good level of adjustments was confusing at first. 8.) If i could do this project over again i would take a lot more better shots of different thing. 9.) i would give myself a 6 because i feel like i could ...
